  3. Step 3: Pass the strap under the collar

Take the strap under the collar, between the collar and your dog. From the outside in, it goes tracker, collar, strap.

  4. Step 4: Fasten the strap on the T-shaped stud

Push the stud through a hole in the strap. Pull it snug so the tracker doesn’t slide or twist.

The tracker still slides or twists?

Fasten the stud through a tighter hole in the strap. If it’s already on the tightest hole, your dog’s collar may be too narrow for the strap, so contact support and we’ll help.

Frequently asked questions

What collar sizes does the strap fit?

The strap fits most standard flat collars. If yours is very narrow, wide, thick or rounded, contact support.

How do I know the fit is right?

The tracker shouldn’t slide round or twist on the collar, and you should still be able to slide two fingers under the collar. If the tracker swings to the side, fasten the strap a hole tighter first, then tighten the collar a notch. If it rubs, see Troubleshooting.

Can I put it on a harness instead?

Yes, on the back strap of most harnesses. Waggi is designed to sit on your dog’s collar, so activity readings are most accurate there.

How do I record my first walk?

Keep your phone close to your dog so the tracker connects, then go to the Walk tab and tap Walk Now. The guide “Record a walk”, under Walks, takes you through it step by step.
